Gennedy Tartakovsky's Primal In Reality

Concept art based on what fossils are there of Ice Age man and the closest thing to dinosaurs at that time: terror birds.
What if Primal was irl? How would it work realistically?
In the Pleistocene, the closest things to a carnivorous dinos were the giant terror birds in the New World (southern US and South America). And, around the stone age, the very first people to discover the Americas (specifically South America) were Aboriginal people from Australia and NZ.
So, the closest thing to a person living beside dinosaurs in reality would be one of the first South Americans living beside terror birds and other ice age megafauna. There are tales from Native South Americans today that even describe the 'stoa', a still-living carnotaurus. If Primal did take place in real world history, then...wouldn't it be a Aboriginal warrior with a tamed terror bird?
