King Kong Re-Design sketch

This reimagines Kong as a giant species of Tamarin (or Marmoset) that evolved to kaiju size on Skull Island. The Kongs are not quite apes or monkeys, but a new species of primate that is like something between the two. They were domesticated by the people of Skull Island, taught sign language, and used as guardians, pets, and revered as blessings given to the people.
King Kong is the most domesticated and well trained silverback of the species. The people have used clay and paint to color designs on him while he sat peaceably. But when monsters and murderers threaten the people, Kong protects at any cost, even his own life if he must.
